the bottom. This is among the many things Madden was unable to 
accomplish over the years. Players shouldn't be feeling exactly 
the same as they did in previous versions. Instead, a significant 
amount of effort has been put in to divide every roster into 
levels, adding a bit of real-world appeal to EA's game. The 
report states that EA has gone through and adjusted every rating 
in accordance with the new system. The best players will be able 
to feel like elite players and this was evident in the early beta.

Furthermore, as EA's revised rating system, it is no longer 
possible for players with backups simply plug and play. This is a 
clear indication that the new system is working. Although it 
appears to be an excellent concept on paper, there are still a 
few issues which I'll discuss in the next article. But, this is 
something that was a major problem in previous games, and lots of 
people are pleased that EA has finally come up with a solution to 
differentiate the professional players from the backups.

The designers of Madden have also made a few minor adjustments to 
archetypes of players. The new system is a slightly more accurate 
than the one we used to play in the previous year's game. For 
instance that a "west coast" quarterback is now referred to as 
an"improviser. Route runners are also now considered possession 
receivers and the list goes on. This lets EA to concentrate on 
the strengths of each player and group them as precisely as is 
possible.

My main complaint with the rating overhaul is the way it affects 
some teams that aren't rated as highly within Madden 25. If, last 
year, a player with the mediocre Cardinals scored a 70-overall 
score as a player this player is likely to get an average of 
55-60 in the current game. The player may not be the best and 
could be a perpetual backup. But, it's an issue that supporters 
of teams with lower ratings should be aware of during the current 
season. In the end, everybody will use the teams that are at high 
on their totems.
