digitalmars.D - dfeed issue

The NNTP server whines it's overloaded, so I'm using dfeed. Cool!
Yet I noticed it lacks a very simple view "show me the unthreaded
messages in reverse chronological order".

I often work in that mode in NNTP (plain, not threaded, newest
first) although I understand some might find that difficult to
track.

Vladimir, is it possible to add that mode?

Thanks,

Andrei

DFeed is also "read-only" while NNTP is down.

Yes, but I need to think about the visual design. The table would need to include the subject, so it can't be a variation of the horizontal-split view... Perhaps an unthreaded variation of the "threaded" view, or a vertical-split mode that shows subjects and can toggle threading?

You're the doc; based on your work so far I trust your judgment. I'm hoping for a design that won't make me miss Thunderbird (e.g. list on top and/or right, body bottom and/or left, and one should see already read messages). Andrei

Yet another win for dfeed! webnews also hangs up when the server is complaining. -Steve
