Awesome! Does it pass the Phobos unit tests?

Priorities! Currently working on passing the DMD testsuite first, that is more important in my eyes. Regards Iain

I'd agree with that priority. One caveat though, a subset of the dmd tests are actually phobos layer tests and are just in the dmd suite out of historical accident. They're fairly easy to recognize by looking at the source. If you've got patches you'd like to feed back to any parts of the existing trees (dmd, druntime, or phobos), please feel encouraged to do so. I'll do what I can to facilitate merging them in quickly. I suggest filing bugs with individual patches. Preferably not huge diffs. Additionally, if you are interested, when things are approaching usable, I'd love to add them to the automated tester. Having gdc using druntime and phobos directly from the main svn trees with little or no out of tree differences would be awesome. Good work.. keep it up. :) Later, Brad

I would be interested in a debian package. More so since dmd 64-bit versions are not available. If somebody could initially guide me, I can volunteer to regularly spin unofficial Debian and Ubuntu packages. Regards - Puneet

For Ubuntu use Launchpad and a PPA then everyone running Ubuntu can just add the PPA to their source.list and get updates whenever they happen. Ubuntu debs can often also be used with Debian, though it can be a disaster! As Debian doesn't have anything like Launchpad's PPAs, I would experiment first with Ubuntu then see about making things for Debian. --=20 Russel. =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D Dr Russel Winder t: +44 20 7585 2200 voip: sip:russel.winder ekiga.n= et 41 Buckmaster Road m: +44 7770 465 077 xmpp: russel russel.org.uk London SW11 1EN, UK w: www.russel.org.uk skype: russel_winder
