digitalmars.D.announce - Pull Request Manager Campaign Round 2 (and Other Donation News)

Now that the forums are (mostly) back up, I can announce that round 2 of
the PR Manager Campaign is underway. We're raising another $3000 to pay
Nicholas Wilson for his efforts for the peioid February 15 to May 14.
Overage from the first round was applied to this one and any recurring
donations from the first round will go toward it as well.

Don't forget the campaign to cover Vladimir's costs for the forum
server. The same server also hosts the wiki and some other services he
runs, like DAutoTest.

I've overhauled the campaign menu on the donate page, doing away with
the integrated campaign pages. Now, click an image and you go straight
to the hosted site.

Also, please do try to donate through Flipcause if you can. They've
informed me the majority of the timeout issues have been resolved. There
are still two possibilities where things can break, both of which they
admit were UI design oversights on their part that they will resolve in
the coming weeks. The issues are:

1) You use the browser's back button. Most of the remaining session
timeout issues come from this. As a quick fix, they're disabling the
back button this weekend and will deploy a more permanent solution in a
couple of weeks.

2) You have a credit card error. Their interface currently does no error
reporting when a transaction fails. This is another issue they are
working to remedy.

If you do receive a session timeout or you complete the process but you
receive no confirmation email from Flipcause and no notification from
your card provider (SMS or whatever), then please try PayPal or Open
Collective and leave a note telling us which campaign you'd like the
money to go towards.

I just donated for the Forum case, and wanted to donate also for the Pull Manager: however, for this case, the website asks for a phone number of mine (compulsory), which was not the case for the forum case. Can you please make the "phone number" non-compulsory?

That's not supposed to be there. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. It should be okay now.
