He even said that he realised bitfields are already there in the 
language and the only thing necessary is to turn a knob.

He also had concerns about ABI compatibility, from what I 
remember, but it's been months since he said that and there isn't 
even a `preview` flag in sight.

Does anyone know when(if) we will see an update on this feature?
