Is there a easy way to post images, format code and edit posts on these forums? sorry I'm new and trying to understand how to use them

So, all that's supported is plain text. Even if the web interface supported something like bbcode, it would just show up as markup to everyone else. Similarly, because editing doesn't work with a newsgroup or mailing list, editing is not supported in the web interface either. When you post a message here, it's sent via the newsgroup and mailing list. So, once the message has been sent, it's too late to edit it. Anyone signed up to the newsgroup or mailing list will already have your original message, and there's no way for the web interface to then go and change the message in everyone's inboxes. You can post a follow-up message to correct something, but the original message will forever be whatever it was that you originally sent. If you want to post an image, then post a link to an image. - Jonathan M Davis
