digitalmars.D - Joel on D?

I generally find Joel Spolsky's blog a very fine read, and today I almost
thought he was writing about D, check it out:

With some good help from Oskar, I rewrote the examples in D over at my
blog</shameless plug> and sent a mail to Joel. Having him mention D would
most certainly boost the awareness of D out there, although I suspect that
he won't do much more than possibly read my mail.

I met Joel last March. He's a good guy, and very smart. He knows about D, but I don't know his opinion of it.

I read one of his books and sent him kudo's on it and to my surprise he returned the e-mail. IIRC, his book mentioned how he had to write a 'pascal string' C lib. for a project (to avoid strlen() inefficiencies) and I took the opportunity to mention D at that time. Didn't get anything back, but didn't really expect to either.

Maybe he doesn't want to criticize a moving target.
