A week without power and internet is pretty long itself! Lost 3 trees on 
my property, and for miles around, the powerlines were just a snarled 
mess on the ground.

Things are pretty much back to normal now.

Well, material assets can be repaired. More important that inhabitants 
are safe and have it warm during the power out. :)

I think the same storm hit the coastline all the way up to Vancouver, BC.   
I don't think it was as bad as down there, though.  I'm so far inland and  
north, that we just had periods of strong gusty wind... not much more.

minute without power (yes, I'm an addict to it). I couldn't survive a week.
