My propositions for projects, which could be considered for Google Summer of Code: 1. Finishing/polishing TioPort 2. Port Phobos to Tango library 3. Extend Tango for few lacking libraries 4. Finishing D debuger: Ddbg 5. Eclipse plugin: Descent 6. GDC compiler 7. 8. .... I am writing it because I think there are some very important projects for D Language (as above for example). IMHO GSoC is very good chance to speed up D acceptance among programmers. Probably respective developers would be interested?... -- Regards Marcin Kuszczak (Aarti_pl) ------------------------------------- Ask me why I believe in Jesus - http://zapytaj.dlajezusa.pl (en/pl) Doost (port of few Boost libraries) - http://www.dsource.org/projects/doost/ -------------------------------------

Note that the Tango project is planning to apply as a mentoring organization. -- Lars Ivar Igesund blog at http://larsivi.net DSource, #d.tango & #D: larsivi Dancing the Tango

Is that so? But won't it be restricted to mentoring only Tango-related projects? That would be a rather narrow scope. How about a "DSource"-level mentor organization? -- Bruno Medeiros - MSc in CS/E student http://www.prowiki.org/wiki4d/wiki.cgi?BrunoMedeiros#D

Would depend on what you consider to be Tango's scope. As it is, I find the proposals in the Tango camp to be more than enough for us to apply as a mentoring organization. The mentoring organization also needs to provide willing mentors for all suggested projects. -- Lars Ivar Igesund blog at http://larsivi.net DSource, #d.tango & #D: larsivi Dancing the Tango
