Looks nice, but some of it looks like the sort of thing that typically 
chokes under a light-on-dark system color scheme. You should periodically 
test under a light-on-dark scheme if you aren't doing so already.

The second version of the tabs has the advantage that it is easier to see  
which is the active tab.
