	He's hitting "reply to all" instead of just plain "reply". Funny
thing is I don't have any problem with his messages but yours does
appear as a reply to the top post...

In my client (Thunderbird 3), it appears as a top level post. Its been 
happening several times (with different people) since I started using TB 
3 I think.
