D itself doesn't have a license AFAIK. But the standard library uses Boost, so it's compatible with pretty much everything. As for the compiler, its frontend is GPL, and the license of the backend depends on the compiler (dmd, gdc, or ldc). But in either case, it has no effect on generated code, just on anyone looking to copy the compiler's code. - Jonathan M Davis
