It's not always entirely obvious how or why certain things are the way 
they are.

This issue tracker and wiki are the same as for the rest of D: http://d.puremagic.com/issues/ http://wiki.dlang.org Is there something insufficient with those?

Insufficient? no. Documented? no. We keep talking about reducing the cost of entry, well here's a pretty good example if you ask me.
