Click menu Mail|New Account
Choose "News", click "Next"
Enter personal details, click "Next"
Enter:
   Incoming Server: digitalmars.com
   Outgoing Server: digitalmars.com

Select your NewsGroups eg:
   D (do not post here)
   D.gnu
   digitalmars.D.bugs
   digitalmars.D.dtl
   digitalmars.empire
   DMDScript

And that should just about do it.
