How do I turn on line numbers in the edit window? Getting e.g. Line 65: error ... and having to count down is a pain. CD arrived a few days ago. Win2k Pro SP4 Alan (Toronto)

Using the IDDE try double clicking the error or in the edit window menu [GOTO] [LINE] which probably has a keyboard shortcut. Arjan Alan wrote:How do I turn on line numbers in the edit window? Please don't top-post. (I have rearranged your posting) Thanks Arjan. When I double click a small red diamond appears in the leftmost column, but strangely it remains there after the error has been corrected. How do I get rid of it? Alan -- A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text. Q: Why is it such a bad thing? A: Top-posting. Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail?

I think its a bookmark, look at menu [GOTO][Bookmark] to whether or not the line is in the bookmark list. Arjan

Thanks. The following day they had disappeared, but I've noted your suggestion.
