Unfortunately, and I looked, there is nothing better for the kind of small transactions here. "Karl" <someone unknown.org> wrote in message news:9v0ovb$5jl$1 digitaldaemon.com...http://www.msnbc.com/news/511209.asp

There is now. Digital Mars now uses Verisign which allows for credit card transactions. If you prefer Paypal, that's still supported. www.digitalmars.com/shop.html

Karl, I have used PayPal for over a year without any of the problems described in that article. From reading here, there does appear to be issues with international users, but from the US, I have not had any problems. And the author of the article stated that he could not find points of contact on the web site, they are there, both email and phone numbers. As with any system, they are not perfect. -- Regards, Steve Topilnycky Top Cat Computing http://www.topcatcomputing.com:8080/

Well, I am from Australia. PayPal is suppose to refund the test payment as mentioned in their website. Unfortunately they never and I suppose that is typical of American companies of ignoring the rest of the world. Then again, heck, it was only USD$2.00 which is about $AUD4.00 - about a big Mac. I have many other bad experiences like Byte magazine (CMP) swallowed up two years of subscriptions fee, etc etc.

Karl, I suggest contacting them and get your refund.. Every penny counts. As I said earlier, my experience with them has been good. It does appear that they need to work on the international side of their business. You can use this link to contact them. http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_contact-general -- Regards, Steve Topilnycky Top Cat Computing Web: http://www.topcatcomputing.com:8080/
