D.gnu - Using GDC all over the place

I stumbled upon "the Gnome guys are maybe switching away from C(++)" on
some D ng. There was a link to some points they are considering.

Led me to ponder, what all os/architectures GDC is already used on? And
another question, what are some of the reasons one could not use GDC on
some os/arch? (Of course 32 bits, and GCC have to be there, but other
reasons?)
