I've not heard of any production ready books, but there
are some projects going on.

That's right. This newsgroup is just around for historical reason. The digitalmars.D newsgroup is where you want to post. There are several ways to post there. Usenet: news://news.digitalmars.com/digitalmars.D Web interfaces: http://www.digitalmars.com/webnews/newsgroups.php?search_txt=&group=digitalmars.D http://www.digitalmars.com/pnews/indexing.php?server=news.digitalmars.com&group=digitalmars.D http://lists.puremagic.com/pipermail/digitalmars-d/ The usenet way is usually the best one if it's an option for you. More information about D newsgroups is available at: http://www.prowiki.org/wiki4d/wiki.cgi?NewsDmD

I think I heard of a book being published in Japanese, but I don't think it's been endorsed by Walter (and I don't know how to read Japanese). I haven't heard of any other books been released yet. So there might be a book available if you want to read it in Japanese, but that's about it for now. jcc7
