Hopefully after Monday's post - a Call For Papers - people will stop needing to post stuff on this group and will just send it off to the journal itself (which will make it all easier to manage from the journal's editing perspective). If not, then maybe Jan and Walter will spawn another group. Other than in the medium term, however, I cannot see a point in having a newsgroup, since what would be the point of a magazine format ?? moved to another newsgroup. I feel it's starting to clutter up the NG. This one is about the D *Language*. ;) Anyone? Maybe it'll just die down by itself. But I want it to thrive,
elsewhere. Maybe I'm wrong. Sean

But how about inline forums on each article page? "Matthew Wilson" <dmd synesis.com.au> wrote in message news:aef7of$2km3$1 digitaldaemon.com...Hopefully after Monday's post - a Call For Papers - people will stop

"Matthew Wilson" <dmd synesis.com.au> wrote in message news:aefcne$2p88$1 digitaldaemon.com..."inline" ??
I guess he meant such a feature when a "forum" is created for each article, allowing readers to discuss this concrete article and related things. You can see these on many sites. Not sure if "inline" is the correct term, but I like it. =)

Sorry, force of habit (been programming since 7 so it's like a second language to me). I simply mean that you don't put a link to the forum at the end of the article (although that would look neater). But I guess you could interpret that has putting the entire thread's content there, which wouldn't be a good thing either.
